I am looking forward to the growth of digital audio and podcasts. In an underutilized and under penetrated space, with bandwidth available, sooner or later I hope to see a spurt in audio content.
Programmatic practitioners are already planning audio ads; and with the wider adoption of Amazon’s Echo, and streaming music becoming more commonplace, I would be keen to see podcasts and "talk radio" becoming more mainstream than ever before.
Voice will not just impact search advertising, but also search optimization. It promises to be the next great disruptor of all things digital.
